Cops: Man and Minor Had Drugs in Park

An 18-year-old Bedminster man and a 16-year-old juvenile girl from Gladstone were arrested after a check of their vehicle turned up drugs on May 28, Chester Township Police said.
Patrolman Chris Cavanagh spoke to Raymond Goettel and the minor as they sat in Goettel’s parked car in Hacklebarney State Park on Pottersville Road, police said.
According to police, during the conversation, Cavanagh observed a small bag of marijuana in plain view.
Both Goettel and the juvenile were arrested and Goettel was charged with failure to turn over a controlled substance to law enforcement and was released pending an appearance in Chester Township Municipal Court, police said.
The juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia and was released to her parents’ custody pending an appearance in Juvenile Court, police said.
