Photos: Annual Church Baptism Makes a Splash
Hundreds come out to Fairview Avenue in Long Valley for baptism ceremony and picnic.
For the 11th consecutive year, the late Jack Borgenicht's back yard and man-made lake on Fairview Avenue in Long Valley played host to the Mendham Hills Community Church baptism on Sunday, June 24.
The event is designed to allow MHCC's congregants–and those who are not–the opportunity to publicly profess their believe and faith in Jesus Christ.
Before the baptism began, a wide-array of barbecue foods were offered to the guests for free, donated by Carl Posey Catering of Bedminster.
In addition to the baptism ceremony, however, was plenty of fun and games, as the property lends itself to an array of outdoor activities.
Patch photographer Karen Fucito was on hand to capture those who were there–and what they were doing–on Sunday afternoon.
