Chester Science Fair: Radar (Video)
The Chester Township Police used some old fashion pitching mechanics to show the science behind the radar guns they use on patrol.
For once, people were excited to have a cops radar gun pointed at them.
At the Chester Science Fair on March 3, members of the Chester Township Police Department spent the morning showing the mechanics of how a radar gun operates. But it wasn't just the hand out and lecture that drove the point home.
"The kids pitch the ball at the target and we clock how fast they throw it," Detective Anthony Dacunza said. "We have prizes for the top spots."
Dacunza serves as the DARE officer for Chester, and took turns running the gun with his fellow officers and demonstrating how it was done.
