Science Spectacular Sunday In Chester

Learn about lasers and get ready for the annual science fair with free program.

Chester Recreation is preparing for the annual Science Fair held at the Black River Middle School in March by offering an exciting program called Science Spectacular on Sunday Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. at the Dickerson School Gymnasium.

The Science Spectacular features a laser light show, an unforgettable science assembly that delves into the mysteries of light, color, and lasers.

  • Did you know that Nobel-winning scientists and NASA engineers predict that lasers will revolutionize our lives in the coming years in the same way that computers have done?
  • Did you know that there are already over seven billion lasers operating globally and that we each personally use about a half-dozen every day?

"Culminating in an exciting laser light show that proves that science can be cool and fun, the Science Spectacular is guaranteed to leave you wanting to learn more about this fascinating science that is transforming our world," said Chester Recreation Director Maxine Finney.
This event is free, open to the public, appropriate for all ages and sponsored by Chester Township and Chester Borough Recreation.
For more information please e-mail the recreation director.
